Arctic Pretend

Polar bears in fake red hair
And cormorants in tight corsets
The researchers stopped to stare
The surgeons gasped and dropped their forceps

It was a spectacle of dress up play
With penguins making way
For more secondhand hand-me-downs
To make a real make believe kind of day

Everyone got in on the fun
With great costumes for everyone
Nobody had to be who they really were
It was an epic game of arctic pretend
